LEADERSHIP

ANDREA CONNERS

DIRECTOR

I’m a strategic communications leader with 20+ years of experience translating complex science into clear, compelling narratives that drive awareness, engagement, and action. My career has taken me across pharma, biotech, non-profits, start-ups, and academia. Most recently, I led Corporate Affairs at a genomic tech start-up, building the function from the ground up and partnering with the executive team to raise $60M and take the company from pre-commercial to launch-ready. Before that, I scaled the Patient Empowerment Network (a patient focused advocacy organization) into a $2M national nonprofit and spent nearly a decade at AstraZeneca, where I led global R&D external communications, managed international teams, and helped elevate the company’s scientific voice.

THEA BURRIS

EDITORIAL

With decades of experience in editorial journalism, I thrive at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and innovation. I’ve collaborated with editorial teams at start-ups—guiding them through growth phases and successful acquisitions. Along the way, I’ve built content strategies that not only expanded reach but also significantly boosted ad revenue.

Most recently, I co-founded a boutique content agency with a mission: to help advocacy groups tell their stories and expand their impact. We’ve produced thousands of videos designed to empower patients, spark action, and drive meaningful engagement. Over the years, our work has dramatically increased visibility and connection for the organizations we support—translating purpose into measurable impact.

JAMIE FORWARD

OPERATIONS

I’m a healthcare communications leader with more than 20 years of experience transforming complex medical information into clear, compelling stories that truly empower patients. I’ve designed impactful disease-specific programs, produced live and virtual events across the globe, and created content that answers the questions patients didn’t even know to ask.

In my current role as Co-Founder of Health Content Collective, I lead the strategy, development, and execution of patient education programs that foster better care outcomes. I ensure every project is tailored to resonate with its audience and exceeds expectations, while also driving business development, operational efficiency, and organizational growth.
