ANDREA CONNERS
Director
I’m a strategic communications leader with 20+ years of experience translating complex science into clear, compelling narratives that drive awareness, engagement, and action. My career has taken me across pharma, biotech, non-profits, start-ups, and academia. Most recently, I led Corporate Affairs at a genomic tech start-up, building the function from the ground up and partnering with the executive team to raise $60M and take the company from pre-commercial to launch-ready. Before that, I scaled the Patient Empowerment Network (a patient focused advocacy organization) into a $2M national nonprofit and spent nearly a decade at AstraZeneca, where I led global R&D external communications, managed international teams, and helped elevate the company’s scientific voice.
I hold a dual BA/BS in Journalism and Biology from Penn State and a Master’s in Environmental Communications from Yale University—training that sparked my passion for connecting people with the knowledge they need to thrive.
With Feminess, I’m channeling that passion into a movement for women’s health. My goal is to meet other women where they are and provide trustworthy information that empowers women to grow, thrive, and take control of their health—on their own terms. When I’m not at my desk, you’ll likely find me skiing, hiking, biking, swimming, or doing yoga—preferably outdoors and somewhere new. I also love interior design and DIY projects (if I wasn’t doing this, I’d probably run a home staging company).
