Phylicia L. Woods, JD, MSW, is the Director of Government Affairs at Hologic, where she advances federal legislative strategies to improve women’s health through innovative technology and engagement with White House and Congressional leaders. She brings extensive experience in health policy and patient advocacy, having previously served as a lobbyist for GRAIL, Executive Director of the Cancer Policy Institute, and Health Counsel in the U.S. Senate.  A former Peace Corps volunteer, she now also serves as a Commissioner on Fairfax County’s Commission for Women, which advises the County Board of Supervisors on policies and initiatives to promote gender equality, eliminate violence against women and honor women and girls in the County.
